On June 8th, our landsmen and relatives came together in Tel Aviv for the annual gathering of Israeli descendants of David-Horodok and Stolin. The event took place at “Hapina Hayeruka” (The Green Corner) along the Hayarkon River and was also streamed live via Zoom.
Around 100 multi-generational descendants gathered for an evening filled with connection, remembrance, and community. Among them was Moshe Tziporen who was born in David-Horodok. The evening was made even more special with a performance by singer-songwriter Hanan Yuval.

The annual meeting of The Organization of the Descendants of David-Horodok and the Surrounding Areas took place on May 23, 2024 in Tel Aviv. According to committee member Sinai Zilber, the event was a great success with 112 descendants and families in attendance. Hopefully, in future years, David-Horodokers and Stoliners world-wide will be able to Zoom in for part of this annual gathering in Tel Aviv.
Participants enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and conversation followed by Motti Shaffer, who spoke about the five organization members who passed away in the last 3 years. Sinai Zilber then gave a presentation on the trip that he, Motti and Alex Gizunterman took to David-Horodok in September of 2023 for the dedication of the Holocaust monument in the town square. Dinner followed with entertainment by singer Shlomit Aharon, who represented Israel in the Eurovision song contest in 1981.
