In the early 2000s, American Horodoker Kathy Winston enhanced Dr. Norman Helman’s translation. She reorganized the order of the translation, added additional historical information, some of which was from the research of American Horodoker Dr. Brian Kaye, and added footnotes and a bibliography. Also, she integrated transcripts of interviews that she had conducted with members of the David-Horodoker Women’s Organization in Detroit into the translated text. The necrology list was also updated to include more names than were in the original Yizkor book. Working with Israeli Horodoker Moshe Shavit, they created a website to host this translation as well as other important information. All of the sections of the enhanced translation of the Yizkor book that were available on the old website are available here.
